Nation-wide dinner series pairs award-winning Texas bourbon with fine steak to raise funds for disaster recovery
AUSTIN, TEXAS (April 1, 2019) — Garrison Brothers Distillery, the first legal bourbon producer to open outside Kentucky, announced today a five-part, bourbon-paired dinner series taking place at select Mastro’s Restaurants across the United States. All events in the series will feature a limited-edition, four course menu curated by the executive chef of participating Mastro’s locations. Each course will be expertly paired with a different expression of Garrison Brothers bourbon.
Every expression of Garrison Brothers bourbon is made from a sweet mash bill and barrel-aged in the intense Texas climate. The extreme heat creates multiple aging seasons in a year, resulting in a darker, richer, and fuller bourbon; bolder than almost any other bourbon on the market.
Tickets for each dinner are $190 and $25 from every ticket sold will be donated to Team Rubicon, a global disaster response organization that unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to deploy emergency response teams. By providing military veterans an avenue to regain a sense of purpose, community, and identity through disaster response, the organization also helps reintegrate veterans back into civilian life.
After dessert, dinner guests are encouraged to participate in a Heads or Tails Party Game for a chance to win Team Rubicon Bug Out Bags and raise additional funds.
The first event in the series kicks off at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at the unparalleled Mastro’s Ocean Club in Ft. Lauderdale. The menu will be curated by Executive Chef Rocco Nankervis.
