Reckless Beehavior

Bringing to mind a rich chocolate cake on Thanksgiving Day, this dessert dram combines chocolate, cinnamon, and HoneyDew bourbon for the perfect after-dinner companion.

Ingredients

1.5 oz. Garrison Brothers HoneyDew or Small Batch
.25 oz. Amaro Meletti
.75 oz. Citrus (Lemon or Lime Juice)
.5 oz. Enriched Cinnamon Syrup
2 Dashes Bittercube Corazon Bitters
Bar spoon Cacao

GARNISH
Orange Peel & Cinnamon Powder

Add ingredients to a shaking tin and shake vigorously. Double strain into a rocks glass and garnish with an orange peel and cinnamon powder.

Enriched Cinnamon Syrup
10-12 Crushed Cinnamon Sticks
1/2 tsp Salt
4 cups Sugar
2 cups water

Combine sugar and hot water in sauce pan, stir over heat until sugars are dissolved. Add crushed cinnamon sticks to pan, bring to boil. Cut heat immediately and let simmer for 10-15 min. Remove from heat, pour into container UNSTRAINED and steep for 24hrs. Strain through Chinois the following day.
